VanDusen Botanical Garden

VanDusen BotanGroundsical Garden may be one of Vancouver’s most beautiful attractions, yet seems to be forgotten by most locals. Tucked in in Shaughnessy, one of the city’s most affluent and gorgeous communities, this 55-acre outdoor park carries over 7,500 plants from all over the world. The park has a few lakes, Zen gardens, bee havens, historical gardens, trees, and trails with various types of plants (all labeled!) trailing along, and a great little restaurant and gift shop at the reception area with fabulous views of the grounds.
The park is great for a warm day with the family for a picnic…or just for the sake of taking a day to enjoy nature! There are tours available to visitors as well.
You’ll have to excuse the cheesy video…still wrapping my head around video editing
You can visit them at 5251 Oak Street, Vancouver BC V6M 4H1, or their website at http://vancouver.ca/parks/parks/vandusen/website/
