Yaletown
Yaletown is a hip, urban community located on the north shore of False Creek. Starting out as a run down warehouse district, this infamously popular neighborhood has been going through renewal since the late 1980's. Even though it is one of the most densely populated neighborhoods in the city, it certainly doesn't give off that feeling; the number of activities this community offers keeps everybody busy.
Yaletown today is made up of businesses, high-rise residential buildings, trendy and quaint (and amongst them VERY high-end) boutiques and restaurants, cafes, most of them of which has outdoor patios, and warehouse-style lofts. Exotic foods and interesting spices and sauces can be found in the neighborhood's favorite upscale supermarket, Urban Fare, and Opus, the new fashionable hotel in town, is its recent addition. |
